After getting my hands on Google Assassin, I must say that it's a "Must Have!" if you are serious about making money online in whatever way that has to do with marketing. List Building
Well, I've sometimes been asked about this by some people in my list which I've built over the past 6 years... List Building is by far my most important practical secret to date.
It's easy to talk about it, but to execute it properly, from my personal experience, it would need a certain mindset and vision...
1. The people in your list is someone's brother, sister, father, mother, grandfather, grandmother... Nobody is more superior or inferior. People are people.
2. Channel most of your energy into building up a responsive list. Now, the key is BUILDING. Not list crashing. Building involves relating, responding, supporting... Not spamming. You may indeed buy a list and then funnel them into your actual list building system.
3. You need to conscientiously work towards building an automated or hands-free system. (Vision)
You'll find that when you combine this secret with the other marketing components like identifying your target market, bringing them value, using a proven sales funnel system like which often involves multimedia tools like video clips, spending time to plan ahead, do split testing etc. You will inevitably succeed.
With a list, I could easily pull in thousands a day on demand. You too can do the same. More often than not, when someone joins a new opportunity, he/she is eager to sell sell sell like desperados. Rush rush rushing out many marketing campaigns to soon discover that marketing doesn't work that way in most cases.

Driving traffic to a website is like making a way for people to pass by your shop... It's not too difficult really. But getting people to see the gems and get them from you... The most effective way is through what is known as RECOMMENDATION. Your initial sales are important. They will pave the way to future business transactions. People buy not only because the products are good, but also because they trust your recommendations. They will then recommend YOU to other people.
Please do not fall for every recommendation though. There are many collaborative efforts on the internet put together just to exploit the newbies, especially those who want to make a quick income. Do not believe in every testimonial you see. It's extremely easy to fake especially income testimonials and even movies are not all trustworthy. How many movies have you watched in your life? Don't you see how easy it is to come up with props? Duh! You might say... Yes... duh! I'm sure Vern my business partner would agree because he's such a movie buff =) LOL!

There could jolly well be a syndicate involved in this. Could this be an insider's job? Yes, we can't rule that out... So, scams can happen offline too! Surprise! Ha Ha Ha!
Many people are afraid to market to the people that they are familiar with. The truth is this: If you have a business you can be proud of, your warm market is the best market to grow your business. By word of mouth, that's the most powerful strategy. If people recommend YOU to others, skepticism is no longer a problem for you!

Just do a search on whatever your niche area plus forums, and you'll find great results that are potentially the places where you can do your posting and gain from this activity...
How?
If your niche is dog food, type into the search box:
"dog food" + "forum"
If your niche is affiliate marketing, type into the search box:
"affiliate marketing" + "forum"
... get it?
Visit the sites and use your logic, intuition, discretion and whatever wisdom you can muster and decide which forum has members who would be your ideal market. Yes, you need to have your target market clear in your head first =)
After selecting the relevant forums after going through things like the following:
- What's the size of the forum population and how active is it?
- What are the popular categories or topics being posted and viewed?
- Are there any potential, relevant and content-based postings you can make?
- Will you be affected by the limitations imposed in the terms & conditions?
- Is there a real demand for your product?
This is not exhaustive list... just a guide.
Now, this is only the basic research part. Usually, after the research, many marketers somehow slow down... Why? It's registration time =D
Ok, here's an unorthodox tip... (Hush hush, ok... some underground marketers wouldn't want this out...) You need not register yourself all the time. You can build yourself a creative profile and enter the market as a person unknown to the world. Why? Some forums just won't welcome the actual person you really are. For example, if you're a man, how do you enter a women's forum if it's strictly for women?
You may ask whether this is unethical. Well, I call this undercover work =) LOL

Be tactful and do not to post trash or unfocused replies or anything that people can mistake as spam. Use your discretion and do your research if you're unsure before you post anything. It's really enjoyable, so enjoy it!

Driving Traffic is Easy, Attracting People is Easier...
It's pretty easy to get traffic to our websites. However, the real dough is made to rise when the traffic to our websites see value in what we're promoting and buy from us.
Now, if you're doing affiliate marketing, the products you're marketing are probably marketed all over the internet as well. What makes it any different? Why should someone buy from you and not from someone else?
Many marketers would tell you to add value by giving away bonuses, add your own voice and video to be more convincing, add your proof of earnings or someone else's proof of earnings if you're just starting out, add... give away this, do that... the list goes on. Nothing's new really.
So, why are people still buying from total strangers with moderate websites and not from those with all the bells and whistles added?
Here's the truth... It doesn't matter what you add or subtract. Those who get the sales they want simply have more faith that there are more than enough buyers who would be interested with what they have to offer. They have the mindset that sees abundance. This mindset can be picked up by people who visit their website... On the other hand, those who fail to convert sales basically have their focus on what's lacking.
Get this right and you'll be attracting buyers to you. Getting traffic to your website is good, but being unable to channel your traffic properly to become loyal friends or customers is not good.
The old saying about success beginning from within is true. It's not crappy. So, get your start right and you'll soon see a difference.
Thus, attracting people (or channelling traffic) is easier than what most people think. Once this is correct, whatever you do will flow to do just that =)

You can get loads of traffic quite easily, however, if your sales conversion rate s**ks, then the traffic you've harvested could be wasted... Thus, traffic is only one of the significant factors affecting your business - be it online or offline.

Using Google Adwords... Need profitable CTR?
Using Google Adwords is one of the fastest way to generate traffic. As far as I know, this will work for now until at least end of next year.
If you're searching the Internet to learn exactly how to use Google Adwords to profit instead of getting bankrupt by it, then the truth is there are a lot of trusted "gurus" out there selling their guides that will bankrupt you in no time!

Yes they do... and I do surf more for pleasure than for mere traffic credits =)
It's important to take note that while we should not be distracted during our surfing sessions, it is advantageous to surf and be exposed to how others are marketing their products and services... keeping ourselves in the know =)
